Pastry Chef – Pastry Shop

About the role

The Pastry Chef will lead the pastry shop team in creating high‑quality, consistent pastries for all hotel areas while personally executing baking and decorating tasks. The role focuses on guest satisfaction, employee development, and maintaining budgetary and sanitation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and train the pastry culinary team, ensuring productivity and adherence to standards.
• Develop new pastry concepts, designs and decorative displays while maintaining food safety and storage protocols.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, including purchasing, receiving, inventory control and waste management.
• Ensure compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, local regulations and hotel standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs and driving continuous improvement.
• Monitor performance against budget, team and service goals, and take corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of culinary or food‑service experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Culinary Arts/Hotel Management with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to lead a team, manage operations, and maintain high standards of quality and sanitation.
