Pastry Commis Chef – Hotel & Hospitality

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Pastry Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at Plaza Premium Group in Abu Dhabi. The role supports the pastry department in producing a wide range of high‑quality baked goods for hotel guests and catering services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of cakes, pastries, tarts, cookies, creams, mousses and other desserts following standard recipes.
• Maintain strict portion control, presentation standards and production specifications.
• Ensure sanitation and hygiene standards in all kitchen and storage areas.
• Handle and store ingredients according to Food Safety, HACCP and allergen guidelines.
• Operate professional pastry equipment and utensils safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• Minimum 1‑2 years experience in a hotel, luxury hospitality, airline catering or high‑volume bakery environment.
• Polite, creative, self‑motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Required skills

• Preparation of cakes, pastries, tarts, cookies, creams, mousses and desserts.
• Bakery production techniques.
• Professional pastry equipment operation.
• Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, HACCP Principles.
