Pastry Commis I – Dubai (Full‑time)

About the role

Novotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha is looking for a talented and passionate Commis I – Pastry to join its culinary team. You will help create a variety of desserts and pastries that delight guests while upholding the hotel’s high standards of quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts and baked goods following recipes.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with senior pastry chefs and kitchen staff to meet daily production targets.
• Help with plating and presentation of desserts for multiple dining outlets.
• Participate in inventory management and cost‑control activities.
• Contribute creative ideas for new dessert concepts and menu items.
• Support the pastry team during high‑volume periods and special events.
• Continuously improve pastry skills under senior chefs’ guidance.

Required profile

• Basic pastry skills and knowledge of fundamental pastry techniques.
• Familiarity with a wide range of pastry ingredients and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, dynamic team environment.
• Good time‑management, multitasking and basic math for recipe calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods in a kitchen setting.
