Pastry Intern – Jumeirah Mina Al Salam

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pastry Intern to join Jumeirah Mina Al Salam, a luxury beachfront resort in the United Arab Emirates. The role offers hands‑on experience in a high‑end pastry environment, supporting the pastry team in daily production and service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and measure ingredients for pastries, desserts, creams, sauces and baked goods according to recipes and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of cakes, tarts, cookies, pastries and other dessert items, ensuring consistency in taste, texture and presentation.
• Maintain pastry stations by organizing ingredients, preparing mise en place, restocking supplies and ensuring proper storage.
• Support pastry chefs during production and service, including decorating, plating, replenishing displays and preparing items for the next shift.
• Uphold high standards of hygiene, food safety and cleanliness while continuously developing pastry techniques.

Required profile

• Food Safety/HACCP certification or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail, good organization and ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Team‑oriented, reliable and eager to learn and develop pastry skills.
