Patient Admin Executive - Insurance

About the role

NMC Healthcare is hiring a Patient Admin Executive in Sharjah. The role covers patient reception, insurance verification and claims support, working across shifts as assigned by the team leader or supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients, direct them to the right departments and give routine information about the hospital
• Check emails daily and reply to queries promptly
• Verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility, and educate them about coverage, co-payments and claims
• Maintain up-to-date records of insurance policies, benefits, limits, claims and payments, and keep the pending approval monitoring system current
• Attach correct documentation to claims, resolve discrepancies and work with the billing team and clinical staff on accurate documentation and billing
• Enter new patient information into the system and guide staff to use the correct ICD and CDT codes to avoid claim rejections
• Coordinate with the head office insurance team on escalations and keep records ready for audits and inspections
• Handle complaints fairly, courteously and respectfully, and contribute to continuous quality improvement
• Follow the duty schedule, comply with infection control, patient safety and JCI policies, and maintain patient and staff confidentiality

Required profile

• High school or college diploma, any discipline or related field
• Effective interpersonal skills with staff, colleagues and management
• Ability to work in shifts and adhere to the duty schedule
