Patient Admin Executive - Insurance & Registration

About the role

Sunny Medical Center Al Nahda in Sharjah is looking for a Patient Admin Executive to support the reception and insurance functions of the facility. The role covers welcoming patients, registering new patients, handling insurance verification and claims, and keeping records accurate and compliant with hospital policies.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients, direct them to the right departments and give routine information about the hospital.
• Confirm and register new patients, check emails daily and reply to queries promptly.
• Verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility, and maintain updated records of insurance policies, benefits and limits.
• Monitor pending approvals, attach correct documentation to claims, resolve discrepancies and educate patients about coverage, co-payments and reimbursements.
• Accurate record-keeping of insurance claims and payments, working with the front desk, billing team and clinical staff; coordinate with the head office insurance team for escalations.
• Enter new patient information into the system, guide staff to use the correct ICD and CDT codes to avoid claim rejections, and keep records ready for audits and inspections.
• Handle complaints in a structured, timely and professional way, respecting privacy, and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
• Follow the duty schedule set by the team leader or supervisor, including different shifts, and comply with NMC regulations, infection control, patient safety and JCI requirements.

Required profile

• High school or college diploma, any discipline or related field.
• Good interpersonal skills with staff, colleagues and management, and ability to maintain patient and staff confidentiality.
• Ability to work in shifts and adhere to the duty schedule.
