Patient Support Program Nurse – UAE

About the role

The Patient Support Program Nurse delivers comprehensive nursing care in the community and home settings, helping patients with chronic diseases achieve optimal health and quality of life. Working under physician orders and within Axios International’s policies, the nurse designs and implements patient‑centered education, care pathways and quality improvement projects across multiple therapeutic areas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing services including vital signs monitoring, medication administration (oral, IV, IM, SC, inhalation) and wound care.
• Deliver and coordinate patient and healthcare‑professional education programs and develop workshops, micro‑learning modules and experiential learning activities.
• Conduct home assessments, develop individualized care plans and perform regular virtual follow‑ups.
• Support the design and implementation of care pathways, evidence‑based protocols and patient resources to improve treatment adherence.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, national and international nursing associations and manage reporting of adverse events through Axios’ Patient Management System.
• Document all activities accurately, maintain confidentiality and ensure cultural sensitivity in all patient interactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minimum of 2 years clinical experience.
• Licensed nurse in the UAE with registration from the Ministry of Health/DHA/DOH and enrollment in the UAE nursing syndicate.
• Fluent English with strong clinical knowledge; oncology experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel frequently for home visits, hospital coordination and partner meetings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Patient Management System (PMS) for documentation and safety reporting.
• Medication administration across multiple routes (oral, IV, IM, SC, inhalation).
• Vital signs and blood glucose monitoring.
• Operation and patient education on home medical equipment (glucometers, oxygen therapy, infusion pumps).
• Pharmacovigilance and adverse event reporting.
