PAUT Technician – Full‑time, Abu Dhabi

About the role

ISSCO is seeking experienced PAUT Technicians for a full‑time, on‑site position in Abu Dhabi. You will perform phased‑array ultrasonic testing on a variety of components and structures, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, set up and calibrate PAUT equipment for each inspection.
• Interpret, record and analyse test results, producing accurate inspection reports.
• Collaborate with inspectors, engineers and client representatives to verify compliance and resolve technical issues.
• Follow company safety procedures and quality‑control processes.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices.

Required profile

• PAUT certification (Level II or equivalent) with at least 3 years post‑certification experience.
• Strong background in NDT methods such as UT, RT, MT, PT or VT and familiarity with ASME, ISO, API codes.
• Ability to read technical drawings, welding procedures and specifications.
• Technical diploma or certification in engineering, metallurgy or related field; experience in oil & gas, power or heavy‑industrial projects is a plus.
• Willingness to work in the field under varying conditions, including shifts and extended hours.

Required skills

• Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) operation and calibration.
• Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT) and Visual Testing (VT).
• Interpretation of technical drawings and welding procedures.
• Preparation of detailed inspection reports using standard computer applications.
