PD Lead Technologist

About the role

Prepare vehicles to meet safety and technical standards for in‑market testing, evaluate them under real‑world conditions and deliver data‑driven insights to engineering and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and modify test vehicles, manage the fleet database, licensing, inspections and maintenance.
• Conduct in‑market vehicle evaluations, capture customer‑focused data and benchmark competitor models.
• Investigate test results, identify root causes, share findings and support engineering problem‑solving.
• Develop and document specific driving routes, including off‑road tracks, for consistent testing.
• Coordinate contracted technical staff, workshop equipment and supplies to ensure efficient operations.
• Provide competitive intelligence and customer feedback to improve product development.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of automotive engineering experience with vehicle evaluation and diagnostic work.
• Tertiary 2‑year automotive science degree or equivalent.
• Proven ability to collect, analyse and report test data and to identify root causes.
• Experience managing and coordinating technical staff and test‑fleet operations.
• Valid driver’s licence, willingness to travel and experience with off‑road driving.
• Knowledge of the Middle East automotive market and customer preferences.

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.
