Pediatric Psychologist

About the role

The Psychologist joins a multidisciplinary pediatric rehabilitation team to create evidence‑based intervention plans that enhance children’s emotional, behavioral, cognitive and adaptive functioning across home, school and community settings. The role focuses on children with complex neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, ADHD and learning difficulties.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive, age‑appropriate psychological and developmental assessments using standardized tools.
• Design, implement and monitor individualized behavior support programs incorporating Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
• Perform functional behavioral assessments (FBA) to identify factors driving challenging behaviors.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, physicians and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated, family‑centered care.
• Provide caregiver education, psycho‑education and behavioral coaching to promote consistency across environments.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Clinical, Child, Developmental or related Psychology.
• Valid DOH Psychology license and BLS Provider certification.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience with pediatric neurodevelopmental populations.
• Formal training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and experience delivering ABA‑informed interventions.
