People Manager

About the role

Innovo Group is looking for a People Manager in Dubai to manage and oversee People operations across assigned business units in the UAE. The role ensures effective employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, talent development and compliance with company policies and UAE Labour Law, partnering with business leaders to deliver consistent People initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage People activities across business units and act as a key People advisor to managers, supporting the People Director in implementing People strategies
• Handle employee relations matters such as grievances, disciplinary actions, investigations and conflict resolution, and escalate complex cases to the People Director
• Oversee performance management, including reviews, PIPs, PDPs, probation management and timely completion of review cycles
• Support talent reviews, identify high-potential employees and critical roles, and promote internal mobility with Learning & Development
• Lead employee engagement initiatives, analyse feedback and turnover trends, and partner with managers on retention and employee experience
• Support organizational changes, restructuring and role alignment, and ensure consistency in job titles and reporting lines
• Ensure accurate employee records and HR system data, coordinate with Shared Services, Talent Acquisition, Payroll and Government Relations, and support internal audits and policy reviews
• Monitor People metrics such as turnover, absenteeism and performance management, prepare regular reports and recommend improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline
• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3-5 years in an HR management, People Partnering or supervisory role
• Strong experience in employee relations, performance management, talent management and HR operations
• Knowledge of UAE Labour Law and employment regulations; experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure or project-based industries preferred
• Proven experience managing People teams and supporting business leaders

Required skills

• Professional HR certification such as CIPD, SHRM or equivalent preferred
• Experience using SAP SuccessFactors or similar HR systems
• Excellent communication, coaching, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
