Pharmacist In Charge – Pharmacy Operations Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist In Charge to lead daily pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations to maintain efficiency, customer satisfaction, and departmental objectives.
• Review and execute physician prescriptions, ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and legal compliance.
• Manage medication delivery, stocking, labeling, and storage, monitoring inventory to prevent expiry or deterioration.
• Control narcotics and other controlled substances in line with Ministry of Health guidelines.
• Act as Medication Safety Officer, monitoring quality control procedures and hazardous drug handling.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to provide medication information and support patient care.
• Delegate tasks, orient and train new staff and interns, and provide mentorship.
• Maintain high levels of customer service by advising on medication usage, interactions, and side effects.
• Conduct regular inventory checks, order stock, and ensure timely replenishment.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, internal policies, and safety procedures, and maintain accurate records.
• Contribute to achieving sales targets and overall pharmacy revenue growth.

Required profile

• Licensed pharmacist with solid experience in pharmacy management.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Deep knowledge of pharmacology, medicine safety, and clinical practices.
• Familiarity with Ministry of Health regulations on narcotics and controlled substances.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
