Pharmacy Intern – Patient Support Programs

About the role

The Pharmacy Intern will support and manage Patient Support Programs, ensuring patients receive timely, compassionate assistance throughout their treatment journey. Working both in the field and office, the intern helps remove barriers to care and expands access to medical benefits globally.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the line manager and program team in managing Patient Support Programs and liaise with key stakeholders.
• Ensure timely enrolment of eligible patients according to workflow and program timelines.
• Educate and coordinate with patients to facilitate seamless enrollment and medication delivery.
• Maintain accurate patient files and electronic records, preparing regular performance reports.
• Accompany team members on visits to healthcare providers, pharmacies, or support sites to implement programs.
• Report adverse events or product complaints in line with client requirements and Axios SOPs.

Required profile

• A degree or diploma in a medical field or social work.
• 0–1 year experience in healthcare, scientific, or NGO environments.
• Experience in data monitoring and management is an advantage.
• Experience coordinating logistics or supply chain is an advantage.
• Customer service management experience.

Required skills

• Use of Axios Patient Management System (PMS) for program activities.
• Pharmacovigilance reporting and adverse event documentation.
