Physical Education Teacher

About the role

A new opportunity is available for a qualified whole-school Physical Education Teacher at Jebel Ali School (JAS), a leading British curriculum school in Dubai that is part of the Taaleem network. The role is full-time and the school is looking for someone ready to take the next step in their career.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the National Curriculum for England and Wales, inspiring students to value physical activity, health and wellbeing.
• Plan engaging lessons that cater to the whole ability range in the class and use assessment data to inform teaching and support progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Focus on the pastoral care of children, balancing academic and social progress, and identify and report safeguarding concerns in line with school policy.
• Build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• Work with colleagues in the department and across the school, take part in professional development offered by Taaleem, and contribute to extra-curricular activities, sports events and community initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified whole-school PE teacher with an appropriate teaching qualification (B.Ed. and/or PGCE).
• Full working knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and Wales and its associated assessment practices.
• Strong focus on pastoral care of children and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Available to join in January 2027.
