Physiotherapy In Charge

About the role

Royal Khalifa City Hospital Abu Dhabi is looking for a Physiotherapy In Charge to deliver high-quality, safe and evidence-based physiotherapy services. The role provides day-to-day operational and clinical leadership to the physiotherapy team, ensuring effective service delivery, adherence to clinical standards and regulatory compliance, and optimal patient outcomes through coordinated multidisciplinary care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise physiotherapists and support staff; assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans and monitor clinical progress.
• Allocate patients according to therapist competencies and promote a multidisciplinary approach to patient management.
• Oversee daily operations, patient flow, referrals, workload and staffing, and manage rosters, leave and coverage.
• Monitor departmental KPIs and develop corrective action plans when targets are not met.
• Provide clinical guidance, mentoring and training, and assist with budgeting, equipment management and resource planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, infection-control policies and OSH standards under NMC policy, and maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Take part in quality assurance, audits and service improvement initiatives, and liaise with physicians, nurses and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Valid UAE license (DOH/DHA/MOH).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy.
• Minimum 8 years of clinical experience in a reputable hospital setting.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience.
• Experience in multidisciplinary settings.
• Fluent English (written, spoken and reading); knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
