Piping Fabrication Manager

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Piping Fabrication Manager to lead all piping fabrication activities on the ADNOC Gas EPCM project in Abu Dhabi. The role combines safety, efficiency and strict compliance with project specifications, ADNOC standards and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead shop fabrication and modular assembly, ensuring alignment with the EPCM execution strategy.
• Coordinate with engineering to verify that fabrication drawings are accurate and released on schedule.
• Manage procurement and supply‑chain interfaces to guarantee timely delivery of materials, fittings and special items.
• Oversee yard operations, contractor performance, productivity and resource planning.
• Implement robust QA/QC processes, including material traceability, welding procedures, NDT and inspection test plans.
• Monitor progress against the schedule, identify risks early and drive cost‑control and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 20 years of oil & gas experience, with 8‑10 years in senior piping fabrication management.
• Proven experience on large EPC/EPCM projects, preferably with ADNOC Gas or similar Middle‑East operators.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
