Planning Engineer – Construction Supervision

About the role

The Planning Engineer will lead construction planning, scheduling and supervision for projects in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure that works are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards while coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules using industry‑standard planning tools.
• Supervise on‑site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications and safety regulations.
• Monitor progress against timelines and budgets, identify variances and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare progress reports and performance metrics for stakeholders and management.
• Manage resource allocation of labour, equipment and materials to optimise efficiency.
• Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to uphold quality standards.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise delays and cost overruns.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to resolve planning conflicts.
• Ensure adherence to UAE construction regulations, safety standards and local building codes.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules and change orders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction planning, scheduling and on‑site supervision.
• Strong organisational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to lead and coordinate cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of UAE construction regulations and local building codes.
