Planning Engineer – Infrastructure & Roads Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to lead scheduling and progress monitoring for medium to large‑scale maintenance, roads and infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role involves creating detailed programmes, analysing delays and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (and MS Project) covering all construction phases from mobilization to handover.
• Prepare cost‑loaded and resource‑loaded programmes, look‑ahead plans, progress reports, mitigation and recovery plans.
• Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, subcontractors and authorities to align activities with the baseline schedule and manage risks.
• Conduct site visits to verify actual progress against the programme and integrate authority approvals, traffic diversions and permits.
• Perform delay analysis (Time Impact and Window analyses) and support contractual correspondence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil or construction management) with at least 3 years of experience in planning, including 2 years in a similar role on UAE projects.
• Proven involvement in at least two Dubai‑based infrastructure projects within the last three years.
• Strong English communication skills and familiarity with UAE authority procedures and standards.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Proficiency with MS Project and the MS Office suite.
• Experience in preparing baseline, recovery and revised programmes, and in generating S‑curves, productivity analysis and KPIs.
