Planning Engineer

About the role

Lazourdy Contracting & General Maintenance is seeking a Planning Engineer to join its civil engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules for construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the detailed project baseline program, including work breakdown structures (WBS), activities, and milestones.
• Use Primavera P6 to create, update, and control project schedules.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports with S‑curves, Gantt charts, and other visual aids.
• Conduct regular coordination meetings with project teams to review progress and resolve scheduling issues.
• Monitor actual progress against the baseline schedule, identify potential delays, and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure the schedule aligns with the project execution strategy and that milestones are realistic.
• Develop S‑curve and manpower histograms for resource planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5 to 12 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the UAE.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with Primavera P6.
• Immediate availability or ability to join within 1‑2 weeks.
