Planning Engineer

About the role

The Planning Engineer will review, monitor, and report on the contractor's planning and scheduling activities for major stormwater, drainage, irrigation, and related infrastructure projects in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse baseline, recovery, and updated schedules to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor progress against approved programmes, identify delays, risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Evaluate construction sequencing, work logic, resource allocation and critical‑path activities.
• Coordinate with contractor planners and supervision team to verify actual site progress.
• Conduct regular site visits to validate schedule updates.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, critical‑path analyses and schedule performance assessments.
• Assist in evaluating Extension of Time (EOT) claims, variations, disruption claims and recovery plans.
• Support contract administration, claims analysis and change‑request assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of planning and scheduling experience on infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience with stormwater drainage, irrigation, roads or utilities projects.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly desirable.
