Planning Engineer (Senior and Junior)

About the role

Careers International is looking for Senior Planning Engineers and Junior Planning Engineers in Dubai to manage the planning and scheduling of construction projects. Successful candidates develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress and help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and according to specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project or other scheduling tools
• Create work breakdown structures (WBS), define milestones, deliverables and timelines
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders so the schedule matches project goals
• Track progress, adjust schedules for scope changes, resource shifts or delays, and prepare regular progress reports with corrective recommendations
• Conduct risk analysis to spot scheduling conflicts or delays and resolve them proactively
• Gather data for scheduling updates and support the senior planning engineer in project meetings

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in construction planning or project management, preferably on large-scale projects
• Strong understanding of construction processes, phases and methodologies
• Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Leadership and mentoring abilities

Required skills

• Proficiency in project management and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project
