Planning Manager – Data Centre

About the role

Currie & Brown is seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead the planning function for a large‑scale data centre project in Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with project leaders, contractors and the client to ensure the programme is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive target programme covering design, procurement, permitting, construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Prepare what‑if scenarios and review baseline programmes from design consultants and contractors.
• Monitor, report and control all programme‑related activities, including resource and cost‑loaded schedules.
• Assess sequencing and durations of construction activities and ensure conformance with project procedures.
• Review contractors’ look‑ahead schedules, weekly reports and claims, and prepare recommendation reports.
• Produce weekly and monthly progress reports for the client and attend coordination meetings.
• Track progress using Primavera schedule updates.

Required profile

• BSc in construction management, engineering, architecture, planning or a related discipline.
• Minimum ten years of technical delivery experience on large construction projects, preferably high‑rise, fit‑outs or data centre environments.
• Experience in the Middle East and post‑contract handover/final accounts.
• Professional accreditation (APM, CIOB, PMP or equivalent) is desirable.
• Strong client‑facing, written communication and commercial awareness.

Required skills

• Advanced use of Primavera P6 (certified preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project (MSP).
