About the role
Responsible for reviewing stock‑to‑sales ratios, responding to changing sales trends, and ensuring plan sales, plan markups, and plan markdowns are achieved by brands.
Key responsibilities
- Review stock‑to‑sales ratios and adjust plans to meet sales, markup and markdown targets.
- Manage inventory levels and first‑price sell‑through for the assigned department each season.
- Assist the planning manager in preparing buying budgets and assortment plans.
- Ensure realized margin targets and adequate merchandise mix across stores.
- Coordinate product launches, replenishment and inter‑store consolidations to maximise sell‑through.
- Prepare weekly reports with buying and retail teams and flag inventory concerns to the planning manager.
- Maintain compliance with budget and like‑for‑like (LFL) growth targets for the department.
- Ensure core product availability at all stores at all times.
