Plant Operator – Hotel Facilities & Pool Maintenance

Exceptional hospitality starts with you. As a Plant Operator at a luxury hotel, you will ensure that plant rooms and the swimming pool are well‑maintained, visually appealing, and operating efficiently to deliver memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the operation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel plant rooms, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and swimming pool equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of plant rooms, swimming pool systems, and related equipment to promptly identify maintenance issues.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and application of chemicals used in swimming pool maintenance and other plant operations, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of chemical handling procedures, including water treatment for swimming pools.
• Perform preventive maintenance on plant room equipment such as boilers, chillers, pumps, and filtration systems.
• Monitor and maintain swimming pool water quality, including pH, chlorine, and other chemical parameters to meet health and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance calls related to plant rooms, swimming pool systems, or other hotel facilities.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, chemical usage, work orders, and inventory of parts and supplies.
• Monitor and manage energy usage across plant room operations, recommending energy‑saving initiatives.
• Follow all safety protocols, especially those related to chemical handling, to maintain a safe working environment.
• Source and procure necessary parts, chemicals, and supplies for plant room and swimming pool maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition to ensure operational readiness.
• Recommend improvements to maintenance systems, chemical handling processes, and energy‑saving measures.
