Plant Operator – LPG & Bulk Products

About the role

The Plant Operator is responsible for the receipt, storage, filling, processing and distribution of LPG cylinders and bulk products, as well as routine maintenance activities, while adhering to safety norms and plant IMS requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and handle products such as LPG, EGAP, propane, butane and CNG; assess loading, ullage and quantity in storage tanks and tankers.
• Perform proper loading and unloading of bulk tankers, receive bulk transfers, and carry out odorizing as required.
• Execute routine housekeeping, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment and setting of equipment, and maintain safety equipment in good condition.
• Conduct visual inspections of tanks and equipment at the plant and customer sites, reporting any abnormalities.
• Assist in purging, degassing, commissioning and de‑commissioning of tanks and tankers.

Required profile

• Science graduate (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) or technical diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Automobile engineering.
• 3–6 years of experience in the LPG or petrochemical industry.
• Fluent in English, physically fit, and preferably holding a valid UAE light‑vehicle driving licence.

Required skills

• Use of mechanical and electrical tools for equipment maintenance.
• Loading and unloading of bulk LPG, EGAP, propane, butane and CNG tankers.
• Odorizing of LPG cylinders.
• Housekeeping, lubrication and adjustment/setting of plant equipment.
• Visual inspection of tanks and safety equipment.
• Purging, degassing, commissioning and de‑commissioning of tanks and tankers.
