Plumber – Hotel Engineering (Dubai)

About the role

The Plumber will respond to guest repair requests and perform preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, tools and mechanical systems. The role involves inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of plumbing, electrical and HVAC items while ensuring safety and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests, communicate solutions and document daily activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubrication of tools, kitchen and mechanical room equipment.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Repair plumbing issues such as unclogging drains and plunging toilets.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair electrical components including lamps, switches and outlets.
• Maintain landscaping and sprinkler systems, both interior and exterior.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Update computer systems with air‑handler schedules and temperature changes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation and painting; hotel engineering experience is a plus.

• Plumbing repair (unclog drains, plunge toilets).
• Electrical repair (lamps, switches, outlets).
• Air‑conditioning and refrigeration knowledge.
• Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.
