Plumber – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Plumber will join the hotel engineering team to respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure all building systems operate safely and efficiently. This onsite role supports both guest rooms and back‑of‑house areas in a hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room systems.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines for wear or damage.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Document daily activities and communicate issues to subsequent shifts.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting; hotel engineering experience a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Plumbing repair (unclogging drains, fixing toilets).
• Basic electrical work (lamp replacement, switch and outlet repair).
• Air‑conditioning and refrigeration knowledge.
• Mechanical and pneumatic system troubleshooting.
• Carpentry, painting, and drywall repair.
• Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.
