PMC Commissioning Engineer – Process

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Commissioning Engineer (Process) to join its Oil, Gas & New Energies business in Abu Dhabi. The role is based on‑site at an ADNOC Onshore facility and focuses on delivering safe, efficient commissioning of process and utility systems.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, coordinate and review pre‑commissioning, commissioning, start‑up, performance testing and hand‑over activities for process and utility systems.
• Act as the PMC technical focal point between ADNOC, EPC contractors, engineering, construction, operations, vendors and subcontractors.
• Ensure all activities comply with project specifications, ADNOC requirements and approved commissioning procedures.
• Support safe execution of work and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in oil and gas commissioning, preferably on large on‑shore projects.
• Proven ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary environment.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with client, contractors and internal teams.
