PMC Lead Structural Engineer

About the role

Wood is recruiting a PMC Lead Structural Engineer to support the ADNOC Offshore project in Abu Dhabi. The position will be based at the client’s office, providing on‑site engineering leadership for complex offshore structures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the structural engineering discipline within the PMC team for offshore projects.
• Coordinate design reviews, ensure compliance with client specifications and international codes.
• Manage interface with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, civil and geotechnical engineers.
• Oversee the preparation and verification of structural calculations, drawings and reports.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and monitor progress against project schedules.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with significant offshore experience.
• Proven track record in leading structural design for large‑scale oil and gas projects.
• Strong understanding of UAE and international offshore standards.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with client and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Structural analysis and design of offshore platforms.
• Knowledge of relevant codes (e.g., API, ISO, DNV).
• Experience with engineering software for structural modelling.
