PMO, Governance & Performance Lead (UAE National)

About the role

A project with an Abu Dhabi government entity in the real estate sector is hiring a PMO, Governance & Performance Lead. The role runs the entity's strategic PMO, governance, strategy-performance and operational-excellence processes, keeps one view of the strategic portfolio and turns delivery gaps and recurring process issues into owned improvement actions. The position is open to UAE Nationals only.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the strategic portfolio, including digital initiatives: plans, milestones, owners and stage-gate status
• Monitor progress, risks, issues and dependencies against commitments, and escalate material concerns to leadership and governance forums
• Operate governance forums: agendas, decision materials, minutes and action tracking
• Develop and maintain governance standards, decision rights, stage-gates and reporting templates
• Track decisions, escalations and corrective actions through to closure
• Coordinate strategy KPI reporting and executive performance reports, analyse trends and delivery gaps and support target setting and accountability reviews
• Keep initiative reporting, KPI performance and benefits tracking aligned
• Maintain process-governance and continuous-improvement standards and coordinate process assessments with business owners
• Lead and develop the Performance & Reporting and Governance & Continuous Improvement Specialists

Required profile

• 8-12+ years of experience in strategic PMO, portfolio management, governance, performance management, continuous improvement, operational excellence, transformation delivery or management consulting
• Proven experience coordinating strategic portfolios, executive governance forums and senior-level reporting
• Experience turning performance and process gaps into structured improvement initiatives
• Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering, economics, public policy or a related field; postgraduate qualification or certification (PMP, MSP or Lean Six Sigma) preferred
• Fluency in English required; Arabic strongly preferred
