Point Machine Installation & T&C Engineer

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Point Machine Installation & Testing & Commissioning Engineer to join its UAE team on the Abu Dhabi‑Sohar railway project. The role involves installing, aligning, testing and commissioning railway point machines and related detection systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Install, adjust, align and maintain Siemens ELS 710 and S700K point machines according to project procedures.
• Install, adjust and test ELP 319 point detectors and point lock systems, verifying mechanical and electrical functionality.
• Perform wiring inspections, continuity, insulation checks and functional testing of point machine circuits.
• Carry out point machine setup, throw adjustment and verification of locking, detection and end‑position conditions.
• Execute testing and commissioning activities in line with railway safety and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot point machine, detection, locking and signalling interface faults and support root‑cause analysis.
• Supervise minor civil works related to point machine foundations, ensuring correct positioning and alignment.
• Prepare and maintain installation, testing, inspection and commissioning documentation, including test reports and punch‑list records.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in railway signalling installation, testing and commissioning.
• Proven experience with Siemens ELS 710 or S700K point machines and ELP 319 detectors.
• Strong knowledge of railway turnout systems, signalling interfaces and interlocking systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
