Policy Development Specialist

About the role

Lead the development, review, and institutional alignment of faculty‑related policies across the University, translating benchmarking insights and internal audits into clear, implementable frameworks while coordinating stakeholder input and supporting leadership decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, draft, and revise faculty‑related policies such as tenure, promotion, appointments, teaching load, and conduct, ensuring internal consistency and alignment.
• Conduct comprehensive audits and benchmarking of existing policies against peer institutions, synthesizing data into actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate input from Deans, Provost, HR, and other stakeholders, facilitating discussions and tracking development timelines.
• Prepare presentations, briefing materials, and communications for senior leadership and ensure clear dissemination to faculty.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in public policy, higher education administration, law, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in faculty policy development, institutional research, or academic administration.
• Demonstrated experience in benchmarking, policy drafting, analytical synthesis, and executive‑level communication.
