Pool Attendant

About the role

The Pool Attendant serves as the primary point of contact for guests using the hotel’s recreational facilities, including the pool, beach, fitness centre and entertainment zones. The role focuses on delivering a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment while supporting the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide information about all recreation facilities and promote their use.
• Encourage, register and schedule guests for pool and other recreational activities.
• Enforce safety rules and respond to emergencies according to local procedures.
• Handle point‑of‑sale transactions, process payments for rentals, activities and retail sales.
• Assist with private functions and group events held in recreation areas.
• Offer first‑aid assistance and support injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of facilities, equipment and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to management.
• Uphold company policies, uniform standards and confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• Full‑time availability and ability to work flexible shifts.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift/carry equipment.
• Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
• Ability to recognise unsafe situations and alert supervisors promptly.
• Customer‑focused attitude with a genuine appreciation for guest service.
