Ports & Terminals Procurement Manager – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The role is based in the Abu Dhabi Regional Office and covers the geographical scope from Southern Africa to the Indian Subcontinent. As a Ports & Terminals Procurement Manager you will be responsible for procurement and supplier relationship management for the assigned portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the annual budget, driving sourcing and optimisation initiatives to deliver value.
• Develop and maintain relationships with incumbent and potential suppliers, analysing spend patterns and identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Conduct market research, stay updated on industry trends and incorporate risks and opportunities into category strategies.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and service level agreements in line with the Group Purchasing process.
• Monitor supplier performance, report deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Own all aspects of the portfolio including costs, performance, stakeholder communication and compliance documentation.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in container terminals, ports, shipping or logistics procurement (or related commercial/operations roles).
• Fluent English (spoken and written); French or Arabic is a plus.
• Strong understanding of ports and terminals operations and liner shipping.
• Proven negotiation, category management and supplier relationship management experience.
• Demonstrated project‑management capability in a dynamic, complex environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Knowledge of Power BI and dashboard creation.
• Data analysis and analytical modelling capabilities.
