President of Puffy

About the role

Puffy, a nine-figure D2C brand and top 5 US mattress brand with over $1 billion in sales, is hiring a President to own day-to-day business performance across contribution, customer outcomes, execution and leadership quality. The President leads key department heads within agreed strategy and delegated authority, reporting directly to the CEO. The role is not primarily an automation-engineering role.

Key responsibilities

• Set operating priorities and hold the heads of Marketing, Retail, Digital Experience, Operations, Customer Support and Finance accountable, while they retain day-to-day execution discretion within agreed plans, budgets and controls.
• Lead department heads, coach them and address underperformance, and own combined commercial and customer results.
• Decide across functions, using AI to challenge options and assess economics and wider organizational consequences, within agreed strategy and authority.
• Deliver through leaders by setting clear accountabilities, commitments and acceptance checks, and own implementation and correction.
• Strengthen autonomy by improving leaders' recommendations and discretion, and partner with AI Ops on technical delivery.
• Use specialists and escalate precisely, bringing corporate strategy and major strategic shifts to the CEO with supported recommendations.

Required profile

• 12+ years of relevant business leadership experience, including 5+ years leading managers across multiple functions, with personal accountability for measurable commercial results.
• Demonstrated judgment on commercial trade-offs and second- and third-order organizational consequences.
• Personal use of LLMs to produce and challenge business work, with independent checks and accountability for the final decision.
• End-to-end decision ownership, including resolving cross-functional handoff failures.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
