Primary Cover Teacher (Immediate Start)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking adaptable and passionate primary cover teachers to provide high‑quality teaching during staff absences across its Abu Dhabi schools for the 2026/2027 academic year. The role involves delivering the curriculum, maintaining classroom standards and supporting student wellbeing on a short‑term or fixed‑term basis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom cover for teachers on maternity leave, long‑term sick leave or other planned/unplanned absences.
• Deliver engaging lessons that follow existing schemes of work and curriculum standards.
• Adapt teaching approaches for Students of Determination, EAL learners and gifted & talented pupils.
• Monitor and assess student progress, giving timely feedback.
• Uphold behaviour management policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement and progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues, middle leaders and senior leaders to ensure continuity of learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Teaching qualification that meets ADEK requirements.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience, preferably with the UK National Curriculum.
• Experience in an international school environment is desirable.
