Primary MFL German Teacher

About the role

Safa Community School is seeking a dynamic Primary MFL German Teacher to join its award‑winning, all‑through UK curriculum community. You will deliver engaging German language lessons to primary‑age learners, fostering a love of language and cultural awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess German language lessons in line with the British curriculum.
• Prepare teaching resources, set and mark homework and examinations.
• Collaborate with the primary department to ensure cross‑curricular integration.
• Support inclusive learning environments and celebrate individual talents.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and school events.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant UK teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE).
• Experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages, preferably German, at primary level.
• Familiarity with British curriculum standards and assessment requirements.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work within a multicultural community.

Required skills

• Knowledge of assessment and examination requirements for primary MFL.
• Understanding of the British curriculum framework.
