Primary School Class Teacher – Key Stage 1

About the role

The Arbor School is looking for a nurturing, creative, and reflective Key Stage 1 Class Teacher to guide children transitioning from EYFS into a solid foundation of literacy, numeracy and personal development. The role starts in August 2026 and focuses on delivering the National Curriculum for England in a joyful, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons that align with the National Curriculum for England.
• Create a safe, supportive classroom where pupils feel confident to explore and learn.
• Use developmentally appropriate practice, structured play and assessment to monitor progress.
• Build strong partnerships with families and collaborate closely with colleagues.
• Contribute to the school’s holistic approach to sustainability, well‑being and social justice.
