About the role

The Primary School Teacher will deliver high-quality instruction to 1st‑grade students, fostering academic, social and emotional growth. The role involves creating a safe, inclusive classroom where every child can thrive and develop a love of learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate lessons in line with the school curriculum.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment that meets diverse student needs.
• Employ a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
• Assess, record and report student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to pupils and parents.
• Establish and uphold classroom routines that promote respect, responsibility and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and school leadership to enhance the educational experience.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, parent‑teacher conferences and school events.
• Integrate technology and digital tools to enrich learning and engagement.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of child development and age‑appropriate teaching methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging students, parents and colleagues.
• Ability to identify and support the individual needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies.
