About the role

GEMS Education is looking for an experienced Primary SENCO to join its Inclusion Team in Dubai. Reporting to the Head of Inclusion, you will lead the delivery of high‑quality, compliant support for students of determination across the primary phase.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head of Inclusion in implementing the school’s strategic direction and Inclusion Policy, ensuring alignment with KHDA/DSIB requirements.
• Lead and monitor provision for students of determination, including IEPs, pupil profiles, intervention planning and alternative pathways.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all inclusion documentation such as PPs, IEPs, assessments and reports.
• Conduct quality assurance activities like learning walks, data analysis, impact reviews, lesson‑planning support and inspection preparation.
• Develop and coach Inclusion Teachers and Learning Support Assistants, monitoring performance and fostering professional growth.
• Track and analyse student data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers, LSAs, parents and external specialists to maintain coordinated support.
• Provide guidance on differentiation, inclusive practice strategies and classroom‑based support.
• Support admissions, transition planning and access arrangements for students of determination.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (required).
• Postgraduate qualification or certification in SEN/Inclusion (required).
• 2–3 years’ experience as a SENCO, Inclusion Lead or equivalent in a primary school.
• Proven experience supporting students of determination with diverse needs.
• Strong understanding of KHDA/DSIB inclusion expectations and Dubai Inclusive Education Policy Framework.
• Demonstrated ability in data management, intervention oversight and accurate documentation.
