Primary Teacher

About the role

GEMS is seeking an experienced and passionate Primary Teacher to join its team starting September 2024. The role involves delivering high‑quality primary education while contributing to a supportive learning community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for primary‑level students.
• Maintain accurate records and manage administrative tasks related to the curriculum.
• Ensure compliance with child‑care and protection policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues across phases to support student progress.

Required profile

• Fully qualified teacher with a B.Ed., PGCE, PGDE or equivalent in Early Childhood or Primary Education.
• Minimum three years of practical experience in primary education.
• Attested certificates and, if applicable, MOE equivalency for distance/open university degrees.
• Experience with High Performance Learning (HPL) is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficient IT skills for classroom and administrative use.
• Strong interpersonal communication to engage with students and parents.
• Excellent command of English.
