Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover) – Aug to Dec 2026

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Primary School teachers to join Deira International School on a maternity‑cover basis from August to December 2026. The role covers Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes, delivering our outstanding curriculum to a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons for KS1 and KS2 pupils in line with the school’s curriculum.
• Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment as highlighted in recent KHDA inspections.
• Foster an inclusive, safe and supportive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Early Years, Primary and Secondary phases to ensure continuity of learning.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and school events.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching primary pupils (KS1/KS2).
• Commitment to holistic, student‑centred education and high expectations.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment representing over 90 nationalities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in delivering the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Familiarity with digital learning tools and integration of technology in lessons.
