About the role

GEMS International School – Dubai Hills is seeking experienced Primary Teachers to join its IB World School community beginning in August 2026. The role involves fostering confident, curious, and compassionate global citizens through innovative, student‑centred learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging primary lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Prepare and maintain curriculum, year plans, attendance records, teaching resources, and assessment documentation.
• Implement teaching strategies for varied student needs, including ESL, late‑entering, low academic ability, gifted and talented learners.
• Utilise media and technology effectively within the classroom.
• Promote student well‑being, provide academic guidance, and monitor behaviour.
• Communicate regularly with parents, keeping them informed of progress while respecting confidentiality.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, pastoral care, and co‑curricular activities.
• Participate in appraisal, performance management, and continuous professional development.
• Assist in organising school events such as inter‑house competitions, concerts, and prize days.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Primary Teacher.
• Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learner groups, including ESL and gifted students.
• Commitment to adhering to GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
• Willingness to engage in professional development and collaborative school initiatives.
