Principal Engineer – Guidance & Control

About the role

The Principal Engineer – Guidance & Control is a senior technical leader responsible for developing and implementing guidance and control systems for advanced weapon solutions. The role supports the Department Manager, provides technical direction, mentors engineers, and drives capability development while investigating emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage departmental capabilities in simulation, guidance and control, tracking systems, software development (SIL/PIL), lab testing, performance verification, and mission planning.
• Mentor engineers across all levels and support pre‑flight preparation, flight testing, and post‑flight analysis.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies, new methodologies, architectures, and algorithms to enhance G&C capabilities.
• Establish and expand G&C engineering infrastructure, laboratories, and supporting tools.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in guided weapon systems or advanced aerospace/defence technologies.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Embedded Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in engineering management or technical leadership.
• Strong understanding of guided weapon system development, guidance and control engineering, systems engineering, and capability establishment in high‑technology environments.
