About the role
The client, a leading mission‑critical design consultancy, seeks a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical engineering design for a high‑profile AI hyperscale data centre expansion in Abu Dhabi.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development, coordination and delivery of mechanical designs for data centre projects, ensuring resilience, energy efficiency, scalability and operational reliability.
- Manage and mentor a team of mechanical design engineers, providing technical guidance and leadership.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders across a portfolio of design projects, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring project objectives are met.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience specifically in Data Centre design.
- 5+ years of design consulting experience.
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
