Principal Quality Assurance Engineer – dnata

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer for dnata to join its Quality Engineering team. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, stability and integrity of large‑scale Cloud ERP solutions that support core financial and operational processes across the Emirates Group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering design and build for quality engineering solutions across teams within a release train.
• Carry out effective technical design reviews to ensure appropriate architecture patterns are used.
• Plan and lead a risk‑based approach for end‑to‑end testing across all development stages.
• Create, evaluate and implement quality engineering standards and improvements.
• Collaborate with leadership and team members to identify and eliminate non‑value‑adding work.
• Champion automation, lean software development, test‑driven development, agile practices, timely root cause analysis and blameless incident post‑mortems.
• Develop or identify frameworks, tools and practices to improve delivery quality and productivity.
• Foster a climate of continuous improvement based on scaled agile principles.
• Act as a trusted advisor for quality engineers and guide autonomous work in multidisciplinary feature teams.
• Lead, coach and mentor quality engineers within a release train, providing feedback and professional development.
• Ensure appropriate processes are in place for portfolio and enterprise‑level reporting.

Required profile

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) with 8+ years of IT experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience designing and building scalable quality engineering solutions aligned to Agile Release Train objectives.
• Strong experience conducting technical design reviews and enforcing architecture standards.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute risk‑based testing strategies across the full development lifecycle.
• Experience developing, implementing and maintaining quality standards across multiple agile teams.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.
• Track record of driving automation across testing layers.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and promoting blameless post‑mortems.
• Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring capability.
