Principal Security Engineer – Crypto Digital Assets

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Security Engineer with deep crypto expertise to own the security of our regulated digital‑asset platform. You will lead the design, implementation, and operation of custody and on‑chain security while partnering with central security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full custody stack – MPC key management, transaction authorisation, signing quorums, address whitelisting and withdrawal controls.
• Define crypto‑specific hardening requirements for AWS accounts and work with InfraSec, AppSec and IAM teams.
• Develop and embed crypto‑specific checks into the SDLC (SAST, DAST, SCA, CI/CD gates).
• Lead incident response for key compromise, unauthorised transactions and on‑chain events.
• Manage security assessments and ongoing assurance of crypto vendor stack.

Required profile

• 6+ years in information security, including senior engineering or architect roles.
• Hands‑on experience securing crypto custody, blockchain platforms or regulated financial services.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS preferred) in a regulated environment.
• Experience with threat modelling, risk assessments and incident response.
