Process Electrician Supervisor - Offshore Modules

About the role

McDermott International, a global leader in engineering, procurement, construction and installation in the oil and gas industry, is looking for an experienced Supervisor for its Fabrication Yard working on offshore modules. The role provides expert guidance and technical support to operations in the yard, covering welding-related tasks and quality control.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and technical support to operations in the fabrication yard, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes and project requirements.
• Oversee discipline activities, including procedures, equipment selection, consumable choices and quality control measures.
• Develop and implement programs and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity while keeping the highest standards of safety and quality.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with welding specifications and identify areas for improvement.
• Train and mentor personnel in welding techniques, safety protocols and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Coordinate with client representatives and external stakeholders to address welding-related queries and give technical guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Extensive experience in fabrication, specifically in the oil and gas industry with a focus on offshore modules.
• Proven track record of successful project execution with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and schedule adherence.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes.
• Ability to analyse complex welding issues, develop innovative solutions and make informed decisions.
