Process Engineer – SMT

About the role

Eaton is expanding its new sustainable campus in Dubai and seeks a Process Engineer – SMT (PCBA) to lead the set‑up, validation, and continuous improvement of SMT equipment and manufacturing processes. You will ensure production quality, support new product introductions, and drive operational excellence in line with Eaton’s safety and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up, validate, maintain, and optimise all SMT equipment and related PCBA processes.
• Develop and maintain operator and maintenance work instructions for SMT lines.
• Support NPI and transferred PCBA projects, leveraging statistical analysis tools.
• Prepare and release industrialisation deliverables such as process flow charts, PFMEA, and PPAP.
• Conduct DFM reviews with R&D to improve manufacturability, yield, and reliability.
• Implement ECO/MCO changes on schedule and track SMT line cycle times.
• Identify and propose CI and VAVE projects to reduce defect rates and increase productivity.

Required profile

• Proven experience with SMT equipment and PCBA manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, PFMEA, PPAP, and DFM principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with R&D, industrialisation managers, and production teams.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in statistical analysis for process optimisation.
