Procurement Assistant (UAE Nationals only)

About the role

Tractebel Middle East is looking for a motivated Procurement Assistant to support its supply chain activities in Abu Dhabi. This position is aimed at Emirati nationals and offers the chance to develop a long‑term career within a leading international engineering and consulting firm.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end procurement processes, including supplier inquiries, quotation requests, purchase orders and follow‑up.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services.
• Liaise with suppliers on pricing, delivery schedules and documentation requirements.
• Maintain procurement databases, supplier records and purchasing documentation.
• Track purchase orders, monitor delivery status and assist with vendor onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and governance requirements.
• Prepare procurement reports, spend analyses and status updates.
• Support contract administration and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• UAE national with a valid family book.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or vendor management.
• Strong organisational and coordination abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
